Journal Reflection

Journal Reflection

At first when we began writing our journals I wasn’t quite sure what to write about. It was a free writing journal, but I still had no idea what to write about. In the writing process there are some rules that we need to follow in order to write the journals. The rule that I found most difficult was the non-stop writing because beside the fact that my hand was hurting, I just couldn’t continue to keep writing fluently which is one of my obstacles when it comes to writing. The problem was that I didn’t know how to spell the words that I needed. Also I have some trouble when it comes to verbs because some are used in past tense, in present and future. In addition, having to write a lot in 10 minutes was very challenging. There were times I didn’t write enough to fill up an entire page or I didn’t have a good topic to talk. But even though these challenges were hard I really enjoyed writing all the quick thoughts that came to my mind.

At the beginning my writing was poor. I didn’t write fluently and I had a hard time finding the correct word to use. But as the time passed and I keep writing journals I noticed that I was able to find the words a lot easier and faster. Also I was capable to write more because I knew what words I had to use. Sometimes the words I used to use were not written the correct way, but I have improved a little on that.

I have never written about my life or something that has happened to me on a journal. I have written journals before but they were about specific topics and I have to explain how that affects me or what I know about that topic. This type of writing has changed me a lot because I was able to express myself and I enjoyed what I was writing. I realize that I am always busy and that I need to have a balance between studies and enjoying my life.

I am not a fan of writing but I do enjoy it. I still don’t think I am capable of write and publish my job to the world because I find difficult reading something I had just written. For example, I rarely comment in social media.

English is a very important language in any field of study. I want to become a doctor so English had an important paper in my career. Knowing English will help me to understand some terms and classes. Also a bilingual person has more opportunities in this life because this subject opens many doors in the professional field.
